Muhammara
- 16 oz jar of roasted red bell peppers
- 1 1/2 cups crispy walnuts
- 8 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup pomegranate molasses
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- 1 pinch paprika
- 3/4 cup olive oil
- 1 pinch Celtic sea salt
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar (optional)
This looks interesting. Not sure where to find pomegranate molasses though. Is there a substitute?
ReplyDeleteYou can find pomegranate molasses at Arabic or Persian markets or on Amazon. There's a link to it in the list of recipes above.
ReplyDeleteHi, I am a new reader but I'm really enjoying reading your blog. Thank you so much for going to the hassle of writing everything down for other people. Please know you are blessing me and my family :) So, here's my question...we live in Siberia, Russia and don't have any Arabic/Persian markets for sure, can you think of anything at all I could substitute the molasses for?? I feel bad asking a second time since you sort of answered already. Thanks again! Ciara.
