Appliance of the Week ~ Dehydrated

Browsing through the entries for the Ergo Baby Contest, I noticed a lot of you put a dehydrator on your wish lists.  I am totally with you.  After owning a cheapo kind for three years and wishing it could do what the sleek Excalibur 9-tray effortlessly accomplishes, it continues to collect dust in my wishpot.  But it's constantly being used and matches perfectly in my gigantic, professional, wood-burning hearth, double oven, extra wide fridge, black/stainless steal/marbled/cherry wood imaginary kitchen.  Don't get me wrong, our awkward, dumpy, cheapo guy has served us well.  But the grates are breaking and the soaked nuts are constantly falling through and there's no way to set a precise temperature and I can't make fruit leathers or jerkies or yogurt with it and all my dehydrating desires would be fulfilled with the Excalibur.  But I'm not complaining.  I am the epitome of contentedness.  If you get one though, be warned that I might break into your kitchen and make fruit leathers while you sleep at night.  I promise to be as quiet as a mouse and all you'll notice is a mysterious fruity fragrance wafting throughout your home.  That's all.
